The US Chemical Safety Board is investigating the explosion Kleen Energy Systems plant in Middletown Connecticut which has killed six works and injured more. The federal agency said that there were similar blast in using gas as a source or electricity and stressed that project saftety should be employed.
According to the board, in the day of the blast, the plant is carrying out a common practice and dangerous activity to clean the pipes by venting gas at high pressures to clean the pipes. This could generate flammable gas to fill a large basketball arena in just 10 minutes.
