Name of your website?

Charleston Equipment Market

Your name?

http://www.charlestonequipmentmarket.com/

Your Location (city, etc)

Fort Wayne

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Charleston Equipment Marketplace is an online marketplace specializing in buying and selling new and used equipment. We feature industrial equipment and machinery like air compressors, boilers, conveyors, electrical power equipment, material handling machinery, testing equipment and more.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Our website was launched to help connect buyers and sellers of industrial equipment. Our Marketplace reached buyers and sellers worldwide.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

The first website we launched was CharlestonAuctions.com we launched this site in 2001. This site tells users about our various live industrial auctions.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We chose CharlestonEquipmentMarket.com because we wanted our users to have an easy to remember domain name.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

CharlestonEquipmentMarketplace.com is different due to the online marketplace. There are very few other industrial equipment marketplaces.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our goal is to continually ad features to help our users buy and sell all types of used machinery and equipment.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The more time and money we invest into the equipment marketplace the faster it grows. Our Goal is to add features to make Charleston Marketplace the premier industrial marketplace.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

With and unlimited development budget we would continue adding new features. Our site was originally created by surveying various clients, so there is not much to change, only new features to add.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, we will be able to keep up with demand as we grow. Our Web Development Company has put various tracking and hardware in place in case we have and unexpected traffic surge.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

One headache has been keeping up with the amount of equipment our clients have listed. As soon as we launched Charleston Equipment Market our clients started listing hundreds of industrial machines. We are now able to list thousands of new equipment listings every day.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Our biggest challenge has going through all the great feedback our users have sent us. We have many new features in development that are directly related to the feedback we have received.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

So far the best promotional method has been telling everyone attending our live equipment auctions about the online marketplace.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

We have had many more people use the site then we first expected. We thought our user base would slowly increase overtime, however we have a huge surges right after launch.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if yc, income or popularity?ou don't enjoy big gains in traffi

Charleston Equipment Market has been running for around a year now and we have not plans to slow down. We will continue running the marketplace as long as people need to buy and sell industrial equipment.

What is your website address?
