The head of the Binh Duong industrial parks management, Tran Van Lieu, had said only this year that there has been a fifty percent drop in investment, over in the southern province’s 28 industrial parks, to the tune of about five hundred million U.S. dollars.
A similar situation had been reported by The HCM City Department of Planning and Investment, over in the city-based industrial parks, as well as in the export processing zones. This actual circumstance had attracted only about seventeen million U.S.
