the Piscataqua flow is being studied by Federal Scientists
11/06/09 16:05
Starting on Tuesday, along the Piscataqua River, into wastewater treatment plants, state scientists, as well as federal scientists will be releasing dye.
The reason for this method would be to study the flow along the border where New Hampshire meets Maine. The water may turn reddish for a short period of time, due to side effect of the water being treated by the dye.
From the Pease and the Newington treatment plants, both the federal Environmental Protection Agency and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services are studying discharges.
